Current Version: 1.2.0.23359 September 14, 2007 - Version 1.2.0 Released. Software Toolbox is pleased to announce the release of Version 1.2.0 of their Extender product. Features of 1.2 include: Extender now supports both UP_DOWN and BROWSE_TO methods of browsing OPC DA Servers. Previously, only BROWSE_TO was supported , which meant that OPC DA Servers that only implemented UP_DOWN could not be browsed. The "DefaultServer" option for an OPC Engine now defaults to Empty. Previously, it defaulted to "SWToolbox.TOPServer". Unhandled Exceptions are no longer thrown when exiting Visual Studio 2005  In some situations, the error message "ActiveX control 'xxxxx' cannot be instantiated because the current thread is not in a single-threaded apartment" will occur when attempting to run an application. This has now been fixed. Internal changes were made to the Extender and Engine interfaces in order to support the future release of the INGEAR Extender engines. These changes are transparent to the developer. Significant updates to the documentation and code snippets. Please note that 1.2 is a new .NET assembly that will not overwrite any of your older Extender projects. The advantage to this is that you have complete control over when you move your project from 1.1 to 1.2. For example, if your project relied upon a bug in 1.1 that we fixed in 1.2, your project will still function correctly until you manually move it to 1.2. That way, you are guaranteed that any install will not break your project.
